Product Selection:  

As the site’s name suggests, all of Organic Bouquet’s products are eco-friendly. They feature organically-grown roses, lilies, gerbera daisies, sunflowers, live plants, gourmet food items, gift baskets, and wine and is the only site that offers gardening tools for your favorite green-thumb.

If you haven’t ordered cut flowers online before, be aware that most services ship the order without water. It is a bit disconcerting to open the shipping box to flowers that look like they’re wilted and dead but most flowers are very resilient and will perk up 8–10 hours after you trim the stems and put them in water.

While the site doesn’t offer traditional arrangements, the bouquet we ordered arrived in a timely manner and was beautiful once it was trimmed and watered.

Drawbacks:
Organic Bouquet offers a nice selection of live plant kits but there isn’t an associated zone rating so it’s difficult to know if the dogwood or ginkgo tree you’re considering for your mother will actually grow in her northern (or southern) climate.

We'd also like to see a packet of plant food for cut flowers included in the flower shipment (or instructions to make our own earth-friendly mix) so that it can be added to the flowers' water immediately.

Ordering through the site is handled online only but the order tracking is available online, by email or over the phone.

The web site is well-organized and easy to use and features a handy search function. It also boasts Veriflora and Fair Trade certification, as well as adhering to other sustainable practices.

Coverage Area:  

Organic Bouquet ships anywhere in the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska and all deliveries are handled through FedEx. Unfortunately, at this time, shipments are limited to the States.
